Tour de Tailoring

It is not quite the moral boost that the 2012 Olympics brought but the Tour de Yorkshire has given a little economic and conversation boost to the UK. As the yellow jersies make their way to London Tour Fever has hit the Savile Row tailor Richard James.

This one-off (though one can easily be made-to-order for you) Richard James inspired roadster was made by the Vickers Bicycle Company to mark this year’s Tour de France.

The dapper colour scheme was inspired by an ice-blue Cool Wool suit from the Richard James in-the-shops-now SS14 Sundown collection (see Samuel L Jackson model it below).

The bike will be in the window of the Bespoke shop from July 5th, when Le Tour gets under way in Leeds, to July 27th, when the brakes will be applied on the Champs-Élysée.
