How to Wear a Shirt

mr3

During the Summer months men tend to suffer more when it comes to formal attire as the heat causes them to swelter in their stiff garb. Convention also tends to dictate staid styles but neither woes have to be so. Savile Row’s Richard James proves that bastions of tradition can also push new trends, my guess is that this faze coloured shirt will become THE shirt high street brands copy. The blurb is true, you have “…a sharp, defined semi-spread collar, double button cuffs and a plain front for a clean, lean look.” I love the coolness of the green hues and how the higher second button makes this shirt perfect for wearing open at the neck or with a tie. Other details include collar stays, mother of pearl buttons and a shorter tail.

The other week music innovator Mark Ronson paired this slim- fit shirt with a tan Richard James Bespoke silk and linen suit at the Richard James London Collections: Men show. Cool, in every sense of the word.
