Trophy Winning Suits

I’m kind of dreading the football world cup to be honest, the boys will be going on about games more than usual and the streets will be full of people trying to get in to my favourite bars, blocking access to my drink in the process. Before the money/business, and the egos with it, got too big I used to love the national passion which came with this tournament. A British victory is unlikely this time round, and for once, not particularly expected so perhaps we’ll all just enjoy the whole process a little more.

Sadly, the ‘beautiful game’ has at times been associated with hooliganism and anti-social behaviour. As Hardy Amies explains in its blog (http://hardyamies.com/world-cup/), this was not the case in the past, the game represented the elegance and style of our men and nation, or maybe the dress influenced the win. I’m looking forward to a future of well dressed men and a world cup trophy back in the UK, I know which one I’ll bet on coming first…
